Pottsboro ISD Alumni

In the beginning...

About Us

In 1966, Georgetown, Willow Springs and Pottsboro ISDs consolidated to form Pottsboro Consolidated School.  Superintendent Grady Brewster wrote this message to the freshmen class of 1966, "It has been your privilege to publish the first yearbook for a new school district.  It will also be your privilege three years from now to be the first graduation class to attend all four years at the Pottsboro Consolidated Schools."

In 1967, Nancy Kyker, the editor of the yearbook, wrote, "To the patrons, to the members of the boards of education, to the teachers of the Georgetown, Pottsboro, and Willow Springs schools, and to Mr. Carl McAlester, County Superintendent of Grayson County Schools, we dedicate this, the first yearbook of the modern Pottsboro, Texas High School.  And to these individuals who had the foresight to envision a high school in Pottsboro, and who had the courage to carry out their convictions that a high school could be established, the members of the senior class express their appreciation.

And so the story begins...
